Hello, I’m Julia.
I'm a colour-obsessed graphic designer and strategic thinker who believes effective communication through design should feel as effortless as it looks. After years in agency and then in-house marketing (writing briefs, managing deadlines, and learning what not to do), I retrained in graphic design because the visual side of communication was where I always felt most at home.
I graduated over a decade ago, went on to work as an in-house designer, and started Orange Cat in 2015 as a sideline, taking on freelance work. These days, Orange Cat is my full-time business, and I work with clients across the UK on projects that blend strategy with calm, thoughtful design that genuinely connects.
I’m a big believer in clarity, collaboration and quiet confidence. I listen carefully, endeavour to ask the right questions, and aim to bring a mix of intuition and practicality to every project. Whether we’re shaping a new brand identity or refining something that already exists, together we’ll turn good ideas into great design.
